The Winnipeg Streetball Tournament is a concept for a yearly basketball tournament set in Winnipeg Manitoba. 8 teams seperated by the saturated colour palette compete to show who is the best in the city. The logo shows off the outline of a basketball merging with the shape of the iconic Provencher Bridge to have a simple icon that screams both Winnipeg and basketball at once.

This tournament was created to fill the need of young Winnipeggers who love basketball and need a place to be able to go all out and show what they’ve got. The visual style was created with the idea of mixing a clean geometric style with rough hand painted elements and saturated primary colours which would pop in an urban city environment. The typography is mainly the font I created: Competitive Slab which was inspired by the backs of 90s sports jerseys so fittingly that font is used for the type on the jerseys and headlines for The WPG Street Tourney brand.
